Ibercisa will supply equipment to Detroit Brasil for 8 tug boats for Starnav fleet. With this work, Ibercisa reinforces its position in the Brazilian market and firms its ties with its partners. 

 

Ibercisa Deck Machinery and Detroit Corporate signed the agreement during ITS 2018, which was celebrated in Marseille from 25-29 of June. The agreement was signed (from left to right) on behalf of Ibercisa by Roberto Rodríguez Orro, General Manager of Ibercisa Deck Machinery, and on behalf of Detroit Corporate by Sergio Camiruaga Espinola, vice-president of International Business and Juliano Zimmermann de Freitas, Director of Finance and Administration.

 

The contract includes the supply of tug machinery for 8 tug boats that are to be contructed by Detroit Brasil Ltda and operated by Starnav Serviços Marítimos Ltda, with delivery starting in 2018 and continuing through 2019 and 2020.

 

Ibercisa will design, build and supply a complete hydraulically-driven deck machinery package, including a Forward Escort Towing Winch, Aft Towing Winch, Capstans, Chain Stoppers and the Hydraulic Power Pack by PTO.
