Jesús Castro Lorenzo started off in our technical department, he moved on to quality control manager and presently provides services as an as an adviser in the budgeting department. Juan Domingo Costas Comesaña, welder, with the special circumstance that he substituted his uncle Juan, much loved in the Company, well known in his field as "Señor Juan" who worked at Talleres Reina in Bouzas, later taken over by Ibercisa. Both men were the object of a special tribute in recognition of and gratitude for their commitment, loyalty and example to the company for over four decades. In the name of the Board of Directors, both were presented with personalized watches with their name and special date.
During the ceremony, the President of the Board of Directors, Vicente Casal Sánchez, emphasized the good results of the company for 2018 and made a reference to the orders signed up for 2019 which are on the way to achieving historic proportions. He encouraged all the employees to continue to be involved with the company and thanked them for their loyalty and dedication.
Alfonso Paz-Andrade, Director and only living founder of Ibercisa Deck Machinery, recalled the trajectory of the company since its beginnings. He remembered the first moments when the company had a small team of 6 people, as opposed to the over a hundred of today. He made an emotional reference to those people who have been with him since the beginning when starting up the company and especially to his friend Gonzalo Gayán Mouta (RIP) and "Blotters" Margaret Hepworth who came especially from England at the time to look after the international patents department.
For his part, Roberto Rodriguez Orro, the actual Managing Director, highlighted the talents of the company's personnel and manifested his satisfaction with the workload achieved for delivery in 2019.
Ibercisa Deck Machinery, as part of its corporative social responsibilities cooperates with the Sales Foundation on environmental protection as well as being a Patron of the City of Vigo Strings Competition for young musicians organized by AGIC.
