Deck machinery has now been delivered to the 74m trawler Ocean Choice International, built at Tersan. The vessel, designed by Skipsteknisk, is fitted with machinery designed and manufactured by Ibercisa Deck Machinery. Specifically the complete package of electrically driven fishing winches, for mooring, anchoring, power and control cabinets, fishing control software and remote technical assistance during the period of guarantee.
Ocean Choice recognizes that this new boat signifies an important investment in Newfoundland fishing grounds, it has opted for a vessel which is more environmentally friendly. In this way the electrical drive guarantees less emissions and carbon footprint as well as a less risky impact on the environment and savings on fuel costs.

This new point of reference for Ibercisa in Canada joins the vessel Northern Osprey III owned by M.V. Osprey Ltd., also fitted out with Ibercisa deck gear and also designed by Skispteknisk and built in Tersan and already operating in Newfoundland waters. Ibercisa is in addition, manufacturing the equipment for the scallop vessel owned by the Canadian company, Comeau Seafoods.
