Ibercisa Deck Machinery has been back at work after a brief period of obligatory closure due to Covid19. In respect of its other departments; technical, sales and aftersales, the company has worked remotely and at full capacity. In the sales department it is essential to keep in touch with clients and collaborators on projects which have to come good in the next few months. "There is a lot of work to accomplish before the project materializes, " explained a spokesperson for the deck machinery company based in Vigo.
"During this time we have learnt to communicate and coordinate in a more advanced fashion, implementing all the technology we had previously developed, in its widest context . Contact with our clients and associates around the world gives us a clear idea as to the state of our marine industry, ever more global, and to establish plans and networks between clients, associates and ourselves as suppliers in order to bring our projects to a gradual end." He added "if we wish to draw any positive conclusions from this situation within our own working environment, it is that we have, without doubt, strengthened our ties with our clients and associates as we are submerged in a context which requires us to be more greatly implicated and connected; the sentiment is mutual and the effort therefore, much greater.
He concluded saying "the company boasts a team of Skippers Mates and remote control technicians which are mostly, since confinement, working intensely, connecting to clients machinery and with the help of our Service Partners distributed over 5 continents, setting up new machinery or updating others, teaching crews; carrying out preventative maintenance or providing solutions with remote connectivity. Ibercisa presently has technical services in Brazil, Namibia, Singapore, Australia, Norway, Russia, China, Denmark, Faroe Isles, Iceland and India, among others, from where we receive information as to how the crisis is being experienced around the world; how some countries close their borders, others pay no attention to, or ignore the risks, others promote solidarity."
