Ibercisa Deck Machinery has just supplied the deck equipment for the new Russian trawler which JSC Okeanrybflot is building at Tersan. The vessel, a twin to the Georgiy Meshcheryakov, is owned by the same company and designed by Skipsteknisk. It is 108.2m in length, 20m width with a crew capacity of 10 and new state of the art fishing equipment.
It is designed to capture and process onboard, halibut, herring, squid and to produce fishmeal and oil. It will have a freezing capacity of 450 tons per day and will be working the fishing grounds of Kamchatka, Eastern Pacific.
The deck machinery for this vessel will be driven electrically: electric split trawl winches; cod end winches; out haul winches, electric net sounder winches, auxiliary winches, Gilson winches, anchor winches, mooring winches, tail end winches; and capstrans.
The order for Ibercisa in this case included a complete package of 48 electric winches, power and control cabinets allowing for energy regeneration and the latest version of the fishing control system SCANTROL iSym.
The set of winches is led by two popular and robust units from the MAI 600 series by Ibercisa present on over 130 Russian trawlers and which are continually updated and upgraded to include the latest technological advances, with, in this case, 700 HP (525 kW) with 78 tons capacity.
The Ibercisa remote control system is also included in this series and offers complete technical support from a large group of technicians based in Vigo with 24/7 availability regardless of the operation zones.
