The Icelandic shipowner Rammi, based in the Fjallabyggd and Thorlakshofn ports, has chosen IBERCISA Deck Machinery for the integral supply of fishing winches and controls on its new fresh fish trawler. The vessel, 47m long, will be set up for triple trawling based on a design by the Icelanders at Nautic.
Representatives of IBERCISA Deck Machinery, the Turkish shipyard Celiktrans, who are building the boat, and Nautic made the announcement during the second day of Danfish, in Aalborg. Rammi’s choice of Ibercisa is based on previous collaborations between the shipyard, the designer and IBERCISA in Iceland, such as the latest developments that the Vigo based company has introduced in other projects for the Nordic country. Also highlighted during the announcement was the Ibercisa’s extensive aftersales service that boasts a local service partner, – the company Marás –, allied with a strong team of service engineers.
Iceland has been a key market for IBERCISA for more than 40 years, wherein the shipowners have put their faith in the reliability, durability and responsiveness of IBERCISA´s team. With this contract, the Vigo company reinforces its position in this geographically strategic area.
