Jorgen Jorgensen and Ashutosh Sajwan, respresenting Svitzer and MMT (Maersk Maritime Technology) respectively, along with Flavio Barros representing the Fortaleza (Brazil) Inace Shipyard attended the factory trials (FAT) of two combined towing winches fir Tugboats under construction in the said shipyard and which operate in the Brazilian market. The hydraulically driven winches MR-MAN/H/70/2x120-64/19-S/1 with a capacity of 200metres of 64mm cable and chain of 19 mm diam.
Svitzer is enlarging its fleet of tugboats in Brazil and hopes to be able to count on 20 vessels operating in South America in 2016. The Company, owned by the Maersk Group, is present on 5 continents with over 430 tugboats. Its presence in Brazil is part of its strategy to bet on emerging markets.
Ibercisa is manufacturing two other winches for this client.
