Ibercisa Deck Machinery will be at Nor-Shipping 2023 in Oslo in a bid to continue strengthening its presence in the Scandinavian market, a demanding and mature market where the company has numerous clients, particularly in the fishing sector.
One of the most recent projects in this market which Ibercisa hopes to see finalized at the soon, is the vessel Froyanes, for the Norwegian owner Ervik Havfiske presently under construction at the Turkish shipyard Tersan.
The Company Marin Teknikk AS, based in Dragsund, designed this MT1217 Stern Trawler and Crab Catcher with the ability to carry out triple trawling and crab catching with pots.
For stern trawling, it has four powerful trawl winches Ibercisa model MAI 400 each driven by two permanent magnet motors of 200 kW with a line pull of up to 60 tons.
For crab catching it uses a special system for shooting and hauling the pots which is done through a moonpool which also facilitates catching and offers safer working conditions for crew by keeping them aboard in the strong Norwegian and Barents seas.
Ibercisa’s contribution to this vessel includes, apart from four powerful MAI 400 trawl winches a complete set of 29 fishing winches and the latest version of the automatic trawling system Scantrol Sym7 with its triple trawling module.
This new presence in Norway reinforces Ibercisa’s continued service in an area where it is already working with ACEL in Aalesund, Scantrol in Bergen and Siemens’ own service network.
