Dearest colleagues,

We are living in uncertain times, during which we have become accustomed to surfing the waves of change. A time marked by an economic slowdown, geopolitical crises, climate emergency, an ever more fragmented world and elevated inflation; all in the context of technological disruption, a moment that requires preparation, unity and resilience. Aspects that we have maintained at Ibercisa in our day to day and which have allowed us to celebrate an outstanding year.

I'd like to highlight the frenetic, and at the same time extraordinary activity, as much in the complexity of the equipment designed and delivered, as in the volume of work, which is without doubt something to be proud of for everyone that makes up the company.

The design, manufacture, start up and after-sales service of ever-more complex equipment gives us an important position in the international markets of oceanography and towing that, combined with our traditional strength in sectors such as fishing, complement the diversification of our capabilities and experience.

Projects delivered this year, such as the waterfall towing winch for Sasemar (R100), the frames for the Spanish Research vessel “Odón de Buen” (OC24), lightweight equipment for the New Zealand vessel (NIWA-OC25), mooring winches for the Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FRSU) for Port Kembla-Australia (C17) or the enormous Active Heave Compensation winch for Melcal (OC29), are worthy of pride, and I congratulate every one of you for these impressive achievements.

Ibercisa, throughout its history, has managed to grow in times of crisis, and in 2024, more than ever, put value on our capabilities and increase them. Reinforcing the team with training programmes, conciliation, inclusion and diversity will make us more competitive and resilient. At Ibercisa we all count.

We must move forward technologically and, in this way, as well as our first steps in Artificial Intelligence, learn the technologies of the future. We will put in place advanced coordination and planning systems at all levels of the company, working together more in synch and optimising our efforts, whilst never forgetting the commitment that we have for the reduction of our carbon footprint with the implementation of systems for more efficient and ecological energy generation, and improvements in waste management.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas with your families, and that the New Year arrives full of health and happiness; a message that I extend to all of our collaborators, suppliers and clients.
