Ibercisa Deck Machinery will supply the deck machinery for a trawler of over 60 ft. to catch squid in the Falklands, presently under construction at the Nodosa Shipyard. The owner has gone for electric drive. The order includes two electric trawl winches driven by 250 kW motors at 741 rpm with a capacity of 3,400 m of 32 mm diam. cable.  These winches have a nominal pull of 352 tons at 38,8 m/min on the first layer. The vessel will also be fitted with two Gilson winches driven by 110 kW electric motor at 1.488 rpm with a capacity of 300 metres of 28mm cable and a line pull of 16.3 tons at 37,6 m/min. A cod end winch driven by a 110 kW motor at 1.488 r.p.m. with a 100m capacity for 28mm cable and a line pull of 20,1 tons at 30 m/min. Two auxiliary anchor winches driven by electric motor of 17,5 kW at 1.190 rpm with a capacity for 34 mm diam. chain or 60 mm diam. rope with a pull of 5,1 tons at 11,9 m/min.  An electrically driven cod end winch with a 30 kW motor at 465 rpm with a line pull of 3,6 tons at 42,2 m/min. The order includes stoppers, capstains and Scantrol control systems.
