Ibercisa Deck Machinery has received the for Sustainable SME in the ninth edition of the Pontevedra SME of the Year Awards, granted by the Chamber of Commerce of Pontevedra, Vigo and Vilagarcía de Arousa, and organized in collaboration with Banco Santander and Faro de Vigo. The ceremony, held at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters, was attended by representatives from the Xunta de Galicia, the City Council of Vigo, the Provincial Council of Pontevedra, the Vigo Free Trade Zone Consortium, Banco Santander, and Faro de Vigo, as participating entities.

Ibercisa’s General Director, Roberto Rodríguez, accepted the award, stating that “we receive it with pride and humility,” while expressing gratitude to those present for the recognition. Rodríguez Orro emphasized that SMEs “are the silent engine of the economy” and reaffirmed Ibercisa’s commitment to the principles established over fifty years ago by its founder, Alfonso Paz-Andrade—namely, continuing to operate locally, avoiding subcontracting, and relying on local suppliers to generate economic value in the region. He concluded by saying that this recognition “encourages us to work with greater commitment, enthusiasm, and responsibility.”

Ibercisa holds certifications in ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), all approved by Bureau Veritas Certification. Its quality control department is highly qualified and continuously trained.
