Ibercisa strengthens its presence in China

Ibercisa Deck Machinery and the chinese firm Jessn Marine have signed two new contracts for the supply of equipment to be installed on board an oceanographic vessel being built by Shanghai University. The order is for an oceanographic Corer electric winch and two hydraulic trawl winches. The signing took place at Ibercisa Deck Machinery's Vigo factory and was attended by dignatories from the city of Ningbo, home to Jessn Marine. Mr. Hu Wangrong, representing the town council of Ningbo, Mr. Gong Guowen, Mr. Zhang Yongton, Mr. Zhang Guocheng and Mr. Chen Caineng, members of the Office of Science and Technology in Ningbo and Mr. Liu Jian from the Institute of Materials and Technology of the Chinese Sciences Academy. The delegation toured the Ibercisa Deck Machinery factory and workshops. Mr. Hu Wangrong, from the Town Council of Ninbo headed the Chinese Delegation and on visiting the Company's installations remarked upon the outstanding opportunities that China can offer to European companies. Mr. Wangrong underlined the technological developments and expertise of Ibercisa Deck machinery and reinforced his idea that there exists a wide field for collaboration between Spanish companies and those based in Ningbo in terms of tranferring technology and innovation. "In the Chinese market there are great possibilities for Companies related with oceanic technologies" he said and "this mission is an opportunity to establish this co-operation". Mr. He Bo, Director General of Jessn Marine recognized that after a year of collaboration between Jessn and Ibercisa Deck Machinery they have both achieved important results and have encouraged the Vigo company to maintain its bet on the Chinese market. He went on to say " some companies have seen the advantages of having a presence in China and benefitting from the huge market which this represents" and that he was keen to widen his links.  He recognized that choosing Ibercisa Deck Machinery as a partner was based not only on the company's experience but also on the quality of its advanced technology. "Ibercisa Deck Machinery is the best at manufacturing this technology for the fishing and oceanographic sectors among others and Jessn Marine is the largest in China so that in terms of experience and knowledge which gives them more points in common and eases their ability to work together". Roberto Orro, Managing Director of Ibercisa Deck Machinery also expressed his satisfaction over this collaboration and for the future opportunities it represents. He explained that long term relations will be established and reminded that Ibercisa Deck Machinery also works in conjunction with the University of Vigo and the Afundación Business School which both maintain links in the education of Chinese students. "It is an interesting market for Ibercisa and one which we have to explore" he said. After its visit to the Ibercisa Deck Machinery Factory the group visited the Fundación Sales botanical garden.
