Ibercisa Deck Machinery designs, manufactures and supplies marine equipment for a wide range of vessels, including tugs and AHT vessels. Recent supplies have been Svitzer's tugboats in Brazil, namely the hydraulically driven winches MR-MAN/H/70/2x120-64/19-S/1 with a capacity of 200 metres of 64mm cable and chain of 19 mm diam. Svitzer is enlarging its fleet of tugboats in Brazil and hopes to be able to build a fleet of up to 20 vessels to operate in South America in 2016. The Company, owned by the Maersk Group, is present on 5 continents with over 430 tugboats. Its presence in Brazil is part of its strategy to bet on emerging markets. Ibercisa is manufacturing two other winches for this client.
Ibercisa has supplied equipment for the tugboat which Remolques Gijonenses is building at the Armon Shipyard in Vigo. The tugboat, LOA 24,40 m and beam 11,26 m, has been equipped with a hydraulic towing winch with capacity for 140 meters of Ø88mm wire and a capacity of 31,5 tons at 11 m/min at first layer. A range of machinery for vessels that Pemex is building at the Freire Shipyard and an hydraulic towing winch for the tug that Boluda has built at the Zamakona shipyard. This tugboat with a GT below 500 and a nautical length of 31,7 m and a beam of 12,8 m has a power of 7600 horsepower which delivers a bollard point of 79,6 tons. The winch has a capacity for 75,5 tons at 8,4 m/min at first layer; and this order also includes an electric capstan driven by an 21,5 kW electric motor and an electric anchor winch driven by an 7,5 kW electric motor.
Ibercisa has also supplied deck machinery for the tugboat which Cattaruzza is building at the Armón Shipyard in Vigo. The order consists of one waterfall type hydraulic towing winch driven by two low speed high torque, hydraulic motors with two speeds with capacity for 700 m of wire of Ø50 mm diameter and 200 m of rope Ø 100 mm diameter, with a nominal line pull of 33,6 tons at 22 m/min at first layer and 165 tons of braked static capacity; one hydraulic anchor winch driven by a low speed, high torque, hydraulic motor with a capacity of 3,2 tons at 23 m/min and capacity for chain of Ø22 mm diameter; two stoppers pawl type for Ø 22mm chain; one electric auxiliary winch driven by electric motor of 5,5 kW-1500 r/m, 400 V with a capacity for 150 m of wire of Ø8 mm and a nominal line pull and speed at half drum of 750 kg at 39 m/min; and the hydraulic system to drive the towing winch with capacity tank of 1000 liters.
