Ibercisa has delivered deck machinery for Open JSC Leningrad Shipyard “Pella” which will help vessels being towed in for repair at the shipyard to move up the slipway. The supply consists of a hydraulic slipway winch based on two open gear boxes composed by one crown fitted at one flange of main drum and driven by four hydraulic motors on each side.
The drum capacitiy is 1050 m of wire Ø77 mm. The nominal line pull and speed is 175 tons at 10 m/min at first layer and the capacity of the brake is 200 t at first layer.
The flange of the main drum is driven by four low speed, high torque Poclain hydraulic motors, radial piston type, with two speeds and each one including one fail safe disc brake working by pressure loss.
The drum has been reinforced and has a hydraulic operated ratchet pawl to brake the drum in static position.
Ibercisa has a sizeable presence in the Russian market for which it has supplied machinery for trawlers. Russian owners are opting to install electrically driven machinery on their vessels and Ibercisa leads the field in this technology. There are already over 50 Russian vessels with this technology on board.
