"Ruth", a purser/trawler 87.80 metres overall, owned by the Danish fishing company Rederiet Ruth AS, designed by Karstensens shipyard, is the flagship of the Danish pelagic fleet.

2.600 tonnes of mackerel valued in 2.690.000€ is the result of Ruth's first trip this year, and since it was delivered new on 17th March last year and over those ten months has caught 27,000 tonnes of fish worth 29.184.00 € .

Ruth's owners use two 1.216 metre Gloria Helix pelagic trawls supplied by Hampiðjan's Danish daughter company Cosmos Trawl.

It is the first of its kind to be outfitted with three trawl winches, supplied by IBERCISA from Vigo Spain, and designed specifically for this vessel in collaboration with its owner Gulak Madsen, with frequency Converters and AFE energy devolution systems. Gulak Madsen chose IBERCISA electric winches in order to facilitate the fishing manoeuvre of towing two pelagic trawls side-by-side.

The Ruth's success has much to do with the performance of the fishing gear supplied by IBERCISA.
