Ibercisa Deck Machinery has designed, manufactured and supplied the deck equipment for the new oceanographic and fisheries research vessel which the National Institute for Development and Fisheries Research of Argentina is building at Armón Vigo S.A.  

The vessel which is 52,80m length and 12.80 width,  is equipped with the latest technology and complies with the ICES 209 rule for low noise output in the water and will have multiple laboratories fully fitted out to complete its fisheries and environmental research, of which one will be thermo regulated.

The deck equipment is comprised of fishing and scientific winches with  scientific machinery integrated by EC in the hull for data analysis, oceanographic, non contaminated sea water circulation circuit, weather station, ROV, chemical analysis and phytoplancton units plus biological equipment.

The machinery supplied by Ibercisa Deck Machinery consists of two electrical drive trawl winches with a 110 kW motor at 988 rpm and a pulling capacity of 14,7 tons at 40 m/min on the first layer; an electrically driven net drum with a motor or 75 kW at 1.485 rpm; an anchor winch also electrically driven with a motor of 15 kW at 1.465 rpm; two roller stoppers for chain diameter of 32 mm; two electric capstans; an oceanographic winch, electrically driven by a 22 kW motor at 1.465 rpm with wire capacity of 4.000m of 8mm diam and a nominal line pull of 2,3 tons at 52,8 m/m on the first layer; a hydrographic electrical winch driven by a 18,5 kW motor at 1,465 rpm; a sonda winch also electrically driven by a 22 kW motor at 1.465 rpm.
